Abstract

This article sought to defend the use of digital games in financial education, gaining prominence as an innovative and effective approach promoting the learning of financial concepts in a practical and engaging way. In the Brazilian context, several articles and books have explored this topic, offering valuable insights into best practices and benefits of this methodology. Available resources range from literature reviews on digital games and financial education to studies evaluating the effectiveness of specific games in this area, highlighting the contribution of digital games in the development of financial skills, such as planning, informed decision-making and financial management. The main highlight of this resource is the ability of digital games to simulate real-world financial situations, providing practical and interactive learning, allowing participants to experience and understand the consequences of their financial decisions. In short, the use of digital games in financial education in Brazil has been widely explored and proven to be a promising approach. Available resources provide valuable and substantiated insights, allowing educators and practitioners to implement effective teaching strategies in this area. By adopting this methodology, financial learning becomes a practical, interactive and engaging experience, enabling participants to develop essential financial skills for adult life.
