The use of cannabis for the treatment of epilepsy has always played a prominent role in the treatment of cases of this disease, this did not happen by chance. According to a critical review report by the World Health Organization (WHO), this powerful substance is beneficial for people with diseases that affect the nervous system and brain synapses. This recognition is due to a large number of studies that point to the effectiveness of cannabinoids, which can be used as anticonvulsants and neuroprotectors. Epilepsy is a disease that affects the central nervous system (CNS) and the brain. The most obvious symptom is seizures, which can be clonus or tonic clonus and, in some cases, can cause loss of consciousness. In Brazil, around 1% to 2% of the population suffers from epilepsy, which can affect people of all ages. It is one of the most common diseases of the central nervous system.Although CBD has not been 100% scientifically approved for the treatment of epilepsy, it has been found to be safe and effective. That's because cannabidiol oil is one of the most prescribed drugs and has very relevant advantages compared to conventional drugs.
