This article aimed to characterize the disposal of expired drugs in commercial drugstores. The development of informative and educational materials to make both professionals in the area and society aware of how expired, disused or improperly stored medications should be disposed of. Disposal of these pharmaceutical inputs is done incorrectly for the most part. Inputs are the major cause of pollutants, bringing many environmental and health problems to society. Problems such as contamination of soil, water and even diseases for the population. This context brings both professionals and society a way of thinking and reviewing the correct ways of discarding and rethinking their mistakes and the consequences of their actions for public health. The pharmacist has in his favor a form of awareness, which is reverse logistics, which is based on a set of procedures for the correct way to dispose of medicines, thus avoiding major disorders caused by pollutants and in the lives of professionals in the possible areas, very practiced. by ANVISA.
