This article presents a bibliographic research on psychomotricity and about the children’s development, with an emphasis on relational psychomotricity, which is a practice that seeks to work on children’s emotional and relational issues, focusing on developing the child's relationship with themselves, with others, and with the world. The general objective is to present how relational psychomotricity can contribute to childhood development. To achieve this objective, the importance of psychomotricity in child development is highlighted, the fundamental concepts of psychomotricity and relational psychomotricity are presented. Additionally, the challenges of the relational approach in early childhood education are analyzed. The study points out the contribution of relational psychomotricity to promote more complete and healthier child development, provided that professionals receive adequate training and work in collaboration with other healthcare and educational fields. Researchers such as ROSSI (2012), PIAGET (1959), WALLON (1995), LE BOULCH (1984), among others, are explored to provide an analysis of the most relevant studies in the field. It is concluded that relational psychomotricity emerges as a promising approach for promoting child development, considering its emphasis on the child-environment relationship, as well as its comprehensive approach.
