DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEM AND THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE APPLICABILITY OF THE MARIA DA PENHA LAW

Abstract

This work aims to study the Institute of Domestic Violence Against Women, with emphasis on the Effectiveness of the Applicability of the Maria da Penha Law, I try to approach each topic described in this article. It aims to understand Domestic Violence Against Women, as it is a worldwide phenomenon that is not restricted to a particular race, class or religion. The law was created with the aim of curbing domestic violence against women. In this sense, we seek to demonstrate the violence suffered by women through bibliographical research, in this way, the present article brings in its body doctrinal thoughts and articles of the Law, specifying the types of domestic violence foreseen in the order, seeks to clearly demonstrate the types of violence suffered by women within the family, which are, according to the law,: physical, sexual, psychological, moral and property violence. As well as the origin of the Maria da Penha Law, demonstrating the struggle for justice and that its aggressor be punished. Thus, the Effectiveness of the Applicability of the Maria da Penha Law, as well as the protective measures, which are effective, but unfortunately are not applied at times.
