In the practice of volleyball, as in any sport, certain repetitive movements and the required overload cause a process of organic body adaptation that can result in muscle imbalances. Added to this, errors in the technical execution of some movements can lead to postural changes and, in the future, cause serious injuries. This study aims to present the main spinal injuries in volleyball players. This is a narrative literature review study, where articles were found in the following databases: SCIELO, LILACS, PUBMED and Google Scholar. Six articles that met the inclusion criteria of this study were selected. The studies highlighted that the most prevalent injuries were subluxations, disc herniation and lateral deviations in the cervical region. It was possible to conclude that there is a certain prevalence of spinal injuries in volleyball players. The importance of training is extreme, considering that this is where injury prevention should occur.
