Abstract

The present work has a social relevance in order to bring to light the reflexes caused in the increase of cases generated by the COVID-19 pandemic. It analyzes the subjugation, devaluation and inferiorization of women in Brazilian society taking into account the atypicalness of the situation. It broadens the theoretical discussion, after observing the need for studies, which can be aimed at surveying what public policy measures can and should be taken to combat domestic violence in the pandemic. The stage of development of scientific knowledge on the subject is under the view that we can present research both by evidence and by the reality that was shown in daily life with the progress of the pandemic. It raises the reasons why women have suffered assaults and their growing daily increase reported by the media.  To study the need to create more public policies to combat violence against women in Brazil. It addresses the innovations that are used to welcome victims.
