Abstract

This paper reviews the evolution of the concept of disability, analyzing the medical and social model and the implication of the new approach that recognizes people with disabilities as subjects of law with equal opportunities. In addition, the legal capacity of the person with a disability in the context of a pandemic is reviewed and the actions to be followed in the future are identified to achieve an effective inclusion of the person with a disability in the community.
