Neonatal resuscitation in the delivery room requires early recognition and timely intervention to stabilize the newborn. This study aims to analyze the adherence of nursing care to neonatal resuscitation protocols and its association with neonatal clinical outcomes. It is an integrative literature review with a qualitative approach, based on the analysis of scientific publications and technical documents, taking into account the guidelines of the Brazilian Society of Pediatrics (2026) and the recommendations of the American Heart Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics (2025). The findings highlight the importance of professional training, team preparation, the availability of equipment, effective communication, and the systematic application of procedures—particularly pulmonary ventilation when indicated. Factors such as limitations in continuing education, working conditions, service organization, and resource availability can interfere with adherence to these protocols. It is concluded that nursing adherence to updated recommendations contributes to the safety and quality of care, with the integration of professional training, institutional organization, effective communication, and adequate resources being essential.
