STORYTELLING AS A TEACHING TOOL IN TECHNOLOGICAL VOCATIONAL EDUCATION

Abstract

This study analyzes the use of storytelling as a pedagogical strategy in professional and technological education, highlighting its foundations, benefits, and application techniques. Based on literature reviews and recent studies, it discusses how narrative facilitates knowledge contextualization, stimulates critical and creative thinking, and fosters students' socioemotional development. Storytelling is presented as a tool that integrates emotion, cognition, and practice, preparing students for real-world challenges. The methodology includes theoretical analysis, practical cases, and teaching planning proposals, emphasizing active student participation for collective knowledge construction. The findings indicate that storytelling promotes meaningful and holistic learning aligned with 21st-century educational needs.
