This article aimed to describe the contribution of gametherapy as a therapeutic tool in gait rehabilitation for patients affected by stroke. The study addresses that stroke is a neurological dysfunction of vascular origin that compromises focal areas of the brain, affecting motor control, balance, and functionality. The research highlights the use of digital games, exergames, and virtual reality resources as physiotherapeutic strategies capable of stimulating the repetition of movements, motor coordination, and neuroplasticity, favoring greater adherence to treatment. This is a qualitative literature review, carried out in the SciELO, MEDLINE/PubMed, and LILACS databases, from 2015 to 2025, with 06 articles selected for analysis. The results show that gametherapy presents promising potential in the gait rehabilitation process, contributing to functional gains and better recovery of post-stroke patients.
