The nurse's home visit represents an important and effective approach in the care of bedridden patients, allowing for closer, continuous assistance centered on the needs of the patient and their family. This study aims to understand how the nurse's home visit contributes to bedridden patients with pressure ulcers. This is an integrative literature review. Searches conducted in the Virtual Health Library, using as inclusion criteria studies available in full text published in the last six years, in Portuguese, English, or Spanish, resulted in a final sample of 10 articles. Two thematic categories were created: Overcoming structural barriers and improving care through the nurse's home practice, and the contributions of systematization and a holistic approach to the comprehensive management of pressure ulcers at home. The nurse's home visit overcomes structural barriers through caregiver education, scientific protocols, and a holistic approach, ensuring individualized and comprehensive care.
