This article aimed to analyze the nursing care provided to bedridden elderly individuals, focusing on comprehensive and humanized care, highlighting the importance of actions aimed at promoting quality of life, preventing complications, and maintaining patient dignity. This is a bibliographic review study with a qualitative approach, carried out through the analysis of scientific articles, books, and normative documents in the health field, published in recent years, related to geriatric care and the role of nursing in home and hospital settings. The results showed that nurses play a fundamental role in the continuous assessment of the elderly patient's clinical condition, in the prevention of pressure injuries, in hygiene and nutrition management, medication administration, and emotional support for both the patient and the family. It was also observed that humanized care favors the creation of bonds, safety, and comfort for the bedridden elderly person. It is concluded that comprehensive and humanized nursing care is essential to promote well-being, reduce risks, and ensure ethical, welcoming, and patient-centered care.
