USE OF SURGICAL TECHNIQUES FOR REPAIR IN FOURNIER'S SYNDROME

Abstract

This article sought to identify the use of surgical techniques in the treatment of Fournier's Syndrome. The methodology employed followed the PRISMA methodology, with a search in the PubMed, Cochrane Library and SciELO databases, covering the last five years (2020-2025). Clinical studies, systematic reviews and meta-analyses evaluating the efficacy of surgical techniques for Fournier Syndrome repair were included. The main results found indicate that the use of surgical techniques for repair in Fournier's Syndrome requires a multifaceted approach, with the surgical technique chosen having an impact on the outcome and the patient's quality of life. It is concluded that approaches such as early surgical debridement, hyperbaric oxygen therapy and reconstruction with musculocutaneous flaps are used to promote healing and minimize complications. Early surgical decision and the availability of adequate resources are fundamental factors for successful treatment and the patient's quality of life.
