STUDY ON CHINA'S INFLUENCE IN SOUTH AMERICA AND THE NEW SILK ROAD

Abstract

In 2008, China has put into practice the program known as the “new silk road” aiming the boost of the Chinese economy using the commercial strategy of the old Silk Road. Investment in infrastructure this time is not restricted to countries neighboring China or its continent, and is therefore a global strategy of structural and economic investment. Therefore, the work aims to gather information to understand some developments of the “belt and road” initiative on the continent and Chinese interest in the region.
