Abstract

With the transition to sustainable energy sources, it is clear that it is important to mitigate the harmful effects of non-renewable energy sources and promote energy self-sufficiency. Non-renewable energy sources, such as fossil fuels, not only contribute significantly to environmental degradation, but also contribute to dependence on finite resources. Meanwhile, biodiesel production offers a renewable and environmentally friendly solution, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and promoting energy security. However, the widespread adoption of biodiesel has been hampered by technological complexities and limited accessibility to production methods. This article proposes a solution to improve the accessibility of biodiesel production through the development of a manual prototype. By collecting data from the literature and carrying out tests in the field, with the participation of volunteers, under the supervision of trained professionals, a prototype was developed to meet the objectives proposed here, using 6 stages so that development could be carried out in a controlled and assertive manner. By simplifying the production process, individuals and communities can become actively involved in biodiesel production, promoting energy self-sufficiency at grassroots level. The prototype manual offers a cost-effective and user-friendly approach, allowing communities to take advantage of local resources and reduce dependence on centralized energy sources. Overall, promoting biodiesel production as an affordable and sustainable energy solution is crucial to promoting energy self-sufficiency and mitigating the environmental impacts of non-renewable energy sources. Through innovative approaches and community initiatives, individuals can be empowered to contribute to a greener and more sustainable future.
