Abstract

This article seeks to emphasize Brazilian democracy, making a brief retrospective of its trajectory, up to the present day, with its advances, setbacks and threats. After this diagnosis, a prognosis was made, emphasizing the role of education, in the general context, to strengthen Brazilian democracy. It is known that there are other means that contribute to the construction and maintenance of a democracy, however it is believed that, due to the various circumstances that have occurred over time, some mentioned in the present work, education is the main instrument for the strengthening of democracy Brazilian.
