THE ROLE OF TECHNOLOGY IN TRANSFORMING CONTEMPORARY EDUCATION

Abstract

Technology has been gaining a lot of notoriety in several areas, be it health, leisure, education and even facilitating daily domestic activities. For now, we will emphasize technology in education, its advantages, the difficulties encountered and how its implementation in the educational system took place. This article's main objective is to analyze the role of technology in contemporary education, taking the post- COVID-19 pandemic. In view of all the above, we seek to show the importance of implementing technology in education, because without this insertion we will have a new type of illiterate in the near future, that is, the virtual illiterate. Obviously a big step has been taken, but many adjustments need to be made both through public management and civil society.
