This article aims to conceptualize hospital pedagogy and hospital classes, as well as to understand how pedagogical monitoring occurs in this environment, with a main focus on the type of care in the Cuiabá/MT unit. In this process, we intend to verify what are the biggest difficulties and challenges encountered in working with this educational specificity. In this way, the research was carried out in locus through an interpretative qualitative approach, based on the authors Fonseca (2003) and Fontes (2005) in order to answer the following question: Why, even with legal support there are more than 20 (twenty) For years, in Cuiabá there are few “hospital classes” prepared for pedagogical care for hospitalized children and adolescents?
