Neurological disorders in childhood may compromise oral health and necessitate specialized dental care. This study analyzed the clinical and emergency management aspects of dental care for children with cerebral palsy and epilepsy. A qualitative literature review was conducted using the PubMed, SciELO, and LILACS databases. Of the 27 scientific articles and three books selected, 12 studies were included in the final analysis. The findings included inadequate oral hygiene, dental caries, occlusal and gingival alterations, biofilm accumulation, and the risk of epileptic seizures. Dental care requires individualized planning, caregiver involvement, and professional preparedness to manage clinical needs and emergencies.
