This study aimed to analyze the strategies of the municipality of Uberlândia (MG) to cope with Systemic Arterial Hypertension, based on the Municipal Health Plan 2022–2025 and its epidemiological and social characteristics. This is a documentary, qualitative, descriptive and exploratory research, carried out through the analysis of the aforementioned plan, triangulated with scientific literature published between 2020 and 2025 and official documents. The results indicated that hypertension is not treated as a priority in municipal planning, remaining generically inserted in actions aimed at chronic non-communicable diseases. Although the plan contemplates strengthening of Primary Health Care, screening and clinical follow-up, care actions predominate, with limited incorporation of social determinants, absence of indicators disaggregated by race/color and reduced intersectoral articulation. It is concluded that municipal planning recognizes social vulnerabilities, but translates them insufficiently into structured actions to cope with hypertension.
