The research aims to reflect on legal education in Brazil in the face of society 5.0. Recognizing that this society focuses on human well-being, so that its demands are more frequent and its disputes more complex, in-depth teaching of extrajudicial conflict resolution methods is justified. From this perspective, legal training must be attentive to social reality, seeking new skills and perceptions from students. Using the bibliographical research technique and the deductive approach method, it is concluded that, for solid legal education, the adoption of active teaching and learning methodologies are the tools for breaking the litigation culture. Once Law students begin to understand the importance and master extrajudicial conflict resolution methods, especially consensual means, a culture of peace will be established in the academic environment. Consequently, when this student becomes a professional, he initially seeks to understand the conflict and the needs of those involved, and only then, analyze and define, among the many doors of access to justice, which one is the most appropriate for the case. Thus, it is clear that universities and law schools that have larger curricula focused on teaching extrajudicial conflict resolution methods are, in fact, fulfilling their social function and are effective institutions, aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
