Adolescent pregnancy is a phenomenon of social and public health relevance, as it involves not only early biological and psychological transformations, but also significant repercussions for the mother-child dyad. This study aims to analyze the main physical, emotional, and social impacts resulting from adolescent pregnancy, highlighting the implications for maternal and neonatal development. The research was developed through a literature review in national scientific databases, encompassing publications between 2015 and 2024. It was observed that early pregnancy is associated with a higher risk of obstetric complications, such as premature birth, low birth weight, and pre-eclampsia, in addition to psychosocial challenges that compromise the continuity of studies and the affective bond with the newborn. The importance of the multidisciplinary health team's role, especially nursing, in providing support, prenatal care, and health education for the adolescent and her baby was also noted. It is concluded that prevention strategies and public policies aimed at sexual and reproductive health are essential to reduce the incidence of early pregnancy and minimize its impacts on the mother-child dyad.
