This study aims to analyze the educational strategies and challenges faced by schools in promoting children’s oral health. Through a literature review, academic contributions were gathered that discuss pedagogical practices focused on disease prevention and the development of healthy habits. The research revealed that schools play an essential role in promoting health by integrating education and prevention. It was observed that playful and participatory strategies, combined with teacher training and intersectoral collaboration, enhance the effectiveness of educational actions. However, challenges such as lack of resources, insufficient continuous training, and discontinuity of public policies still hinder the consolidation of effective programs. It is concluded that strengthening partnerships between schools, families, and health services is crucial to advancing oral health promotion practices in the school context.
