This article sets out to highlight the specificities of how work is perceived by contemporary capitalist and increasingly neoliberal society, analyzing how economic, technological and social changes influence the way individuals and groups view work and its role in their lives. In a world where precariousness, automation and new forms of work organization are becoming increasingly evident, it is crucial to understand the implications of this social relationship with work. The aim is to describe the consequences of this dynamic, through a critical analysis, seeking to elucidate the challenges and opportunities that emerge in this new reality, contributing to a broader debate on the future of work in contemporary society, as well as understanding how this understanding can and is being used as a tool for drawing up public policies in the fight to end the 6x1 work schedule.
