Knowing the human body and its functioning is part of the basic educational process. The lack of anatomical pieces in schools to approach the syllabus may represent a limiting factor in the learning process. This situation can often be overcome by educational institutions that, through projects, play a fundamental role in improving the quality of teaching, bringing students closer to anatomical laboratories. This study aims to report the experience of medical students who are members of the Anatomy Academic League in the “Anatomy in Schools” project. The project was carried out at a state school, in Vassouras-RJ, in 2023, and the target audience were 8th grade students. The topics covered were related to the reproductive, endocrine and urinary systems, their main organs, their functions, main Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs), forms of prevention and resources for contraception. The methodology consisted of applying a pre-test and a post-test with the aim of analyzing the performance of the students, who were able to associate the content with practice, through demonstration on synthetic pieces. It was concluded that the project constituted an effective instrument for health education and optimized the approach to programmatic contents of the National Common Curricular Base.
