Abstract

Nursing preceptorship is an educational practice that involves the guidance and monitoring of students in internship fields, by nurses who work in health institutions. This practice aims to integrate theory and practice, develop clinical and management skills, and train competent and critical professionals. Preceptorship in nursing implies relationships between the professor, the preceptor and the student, which must be guided by dialogue, cooperation, respect and ethics. Therefore, this study aimed to describe the experience acquired by the organizing committee of a university extension event held on the YouTube platform about the aforementioned theme. The online event, which took place in May 2023, was attended by around 60 students and the external community, who registered via the university's institutional platform and gained access to the event in the same way. The approach taken in the event's lecture was: “The Training Process Through Nursing Preceptorship: Relationship between teacher, preceptor and student” and as a result, participation was successful, as there were dynamic interactions between participants and speakers. Thus, it was observed that there was considerable assimilation of knowledge on the topic by the participants.
