IMPORTANCE OF EARLY AUTISM DIAGNOSIS

Abstract

This work deals with the importance of autism diagnosis, as there are still many difficulties in the early identification of autism spectrum disorder, and if it is diagnosed late, this can cause serious damage to the autistic person. The diagnosis of autism in itself is a shattering of the parents' expectations for the future. Not only that, but over the years it causes changes in the family structure, which must always help the individual even with simple tasks. Autism, also known as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), is a neurological condition that affects a person's social communication, social interaction and behavior. If it is diagnosed in the early stages of life, it is possible to prevent a worsening of the condition through appropriate treatment, alleviating the causes and causing significant damage. In cases of late discovery, i.e. early adulthood onwards, social interaction is the key factor, and in early childhood cases, the majority feel a sense of insecurity, fear and sadness, while in late cases they feel relief. Finally, the proposed theme sought to analyze and evaluate how the autistic diagnosis is discovered. The study is a bibliographical survey.
