PROMISING PROSPECTS IN VACCINES AGAINST EMERGING INFECTIOUS DISEASES

Abstract

This article addresses the promising prospects for vaccines against emerging infectious diseases, highlighting the scientific and technological advances that are shaping the landscape of prevention and control of global outbreaks and pandemics. Understanding of innovative approaches, such as the development of modular and adaptive vaccines, as well as progress in clinical studies and pre-clinical trials, has driven the ability to rapidly respond to unknown threats.International collaboration has played a crucial role in the development and vaccine delivery, enabling research institutions, governments and global organizations to come together to tackle complex challenges. The quest for equity in access to vaccines is highlighted as essential to ensure that all populations, regardless of their geographic location, can benefit from these innovations. In addition, the article addresses the positive effects of cannabinoids in neurological diseases, including the reduction of neuroinflammation, neuroprotection and neural repair, in addition to its application in the treatment of neuropsychiatric disorders. Clinical studies are discussed, demonstrating the effectiveness of these therapeutic approaches. However, challenges still persist, such as the need for constant monitoring of genetic variants and the guarantee of safety and public acceptance of vaccines.
