Chronic kidney disease is characterized by the progressive and irreversible loss of renal function, which compromises the kidneys' ability to maintain the body's metabolic and hydroelectrolytic balance. This study aims to analyze nursing interventions that positively impact the quality of life of patients with chronic kidney disease. This is a literature review with a qualitative approach and a descriptive-exploratory nature, conducted through an integrative literature review by searching for scientific productions in the SciELO and LILACS databases. The search utilized controlled descriptors and free terms combined with the Boolean operators AND and OR: “Chronic kidney disease”, “Hemodialysis”, “Nursing interventions”, “Quality of life”, “Health education”, and “Humanized care” within the period between 2020 and 2025. It is observed that nursing care in nephrology transcends the technical management of renal replacement machines, consolidating itself as a strategic practice of health education and technological innovation capable of improving the quality of life and autonomy of chronic patients. It is noted that the promotion of self-care and health education are the most cost-effective strategies for managing CKD within the Unified Health System (SUS). Empowering patients to understand their diet, fluid restriction, and vascular access care significantly reduces hospitalization rates and complications.
