Abstract

Currently, we live in a context where family models are becoming increasingly different, as many are divorced, live in open relationships or are homoafetive. For this reason, the main objective of this work is to analyze the various forms of family in Brazil and their differences in relation to the past. For this, a theoretical-empirical bibliographical research was conducted, which related legal documents, monographs and scientific articles. These sources served to examine the traditional model, the single-parent, the homo-affective, among others, and the main particularities of these families. The consequences of these contexts for the upbringing of children were also taken into consideration. The results found showed how the evolution of the family occurred in the last decades and what changes are currently taking place. In this research, it is concluded that, although the traditional model still remains the majority in Brazil, other forms of family configuration are no longer so strange, and the rights of these families have been recognized over the years. Thus, this article aims to identify, analyze and describe the variation of the various family models in Brazil, and how they are changing over time.
