Central nervous system intravascular lymphoma (CNS-INF) is a rare and aggressive disease that affects the blood and lymphatic vessels of the central nervous system. In this study, we performed a comprehensive review of the available scientific literature on LINF-CNS, with the aim of providing an overview of clinical features, diagnosis, treatment, prognosis and recent advances in research. neurological symptoms such as headache, focal neurological deficits, cognitive changes and seizures. The diagnosis is based on imaging exams, analysis of the cerebrospinal fluid and biopsy of the central nervous system, with emphasis on histopathological and immunophenotypic characterization. The treatment of CNS-LINF is complex and usually involves high-dose chemotherapy, radiotherapy and, in some cases , hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. Personalized therapeutic strategies are essential due to the variability in response to treatment and prognosis. The prognosis of CNS-LINF is generally unfavorable, with a high rate of recurrence and limited overall survival. Several prognostic factors, such as age, extent of disease, and response to treatment, can influence the clinical outcome. Recent advances in research have contributed to a better understanding of the molecular biology of LINF-CNS and to the development of more targeted therapies. Studies are being conducted to identify predictive and prognostic biomarkers that may help guide treatment and improve outcomes. In conclusion, CNS-LINF is a rare and aggressive disease that requires a multidisciplinary approach in its diagnosis and treatment. Understanding the clinical features, accurate diagnosis, adequate treatment and careful follow-up are essential to improve the prognosis of patients with CNS-LINF. It is necessary to continue investing in research to improve our knowledge about this disease and to develop more effective therapeutic strategies.
