HISTORICAL EVOLUTION OF WOMEN'S LABOR RIGHTS AND THE PERSISTENT CHALLENGES IN THE WORK OF PREGNANT AND LACTATING WOMEN

The present work has as its theme of study the evolution of the rights conquered over time by women, bringing clarification about the challenges faced by pregnant and lactating women in their permanence in the labor market. In addition, the article in question will seek to answer how the Brazilian legislation and jurisprudence acts in the face of concrete cases that point to the right of pregnant and lactating women, including under analysis of the time lapse of the increase of the Labor Reform and its repercussions for the contemporaneity. The general objective of the work, therefore, is to analyze these challenges, bringing possible solutions to these conflicts generated. To this end, a study was conducted based on the bibliography of several authors specialized in labor law and in the general economic market to which the women targeted by this research are inserted, in order to collect relevant information for this study. At first, the study deals with the historical evolution of women in the labor market and, subsequently, the interconnection of the rights won and the possible flexibilization of these in the face of the Labor Reform and how the Federal Supreme Court understands this existing discussion.
