PROTOTYPE OF A PRODUCT AIMED AT IMPROVING SAFETY IN CYCLING

Abstract

Safety for cyclists is extremely important due to the vulnerability of users. This article aims to describe the planning and creation of a security solution for cyclists during night hours through the Security and Light product; point out the opinion of cyclists regarding this product and the respective safety that will be provided to cyclists. This is an exploratory literature review research involving an opinion poll via Microsoft FormsÒ, with the participation of 70 people, 49 male and 21 female. The results showed that most cyclists are concerned about their safety and would buy the product according to the specifications presented. It was concluded that even with the existence of several products related to cyclist safety, many accidents still occur, mainly at night, due to lack of visibility. The product presented here meets consumer expectations by offering greater visibility in order to minimize accidents.
