Abstract

Community pharmacy is the pharmaceutical space that provides initial care to the population, with the technical monitoring of a pharmacist. Recent years have shown a movement in Brazil in search of the growth of the pharmacist's performance and the partnership of community pharmacy in the Brazilian health system with the strengthening of clinical pharmaceutical services. To meet this need there is a change in the profile of the pharmaceutical professional that resulted in the updating of the definition of pharmacy and the publication of the RDCs of CFF No 585 and 586 that regulate the clinical attributions of the pharmacist's clinics and the pharmaceutical prescription. Society lives with many diseases, which often needs medications, so the pharmacist is of fundamental relevance regarding pharmacotherapeutic monitoring so the patient will need attention and guidance for the rational use of medications and appropriate lifestyle habits to control your health. Given this, the pharmaceutical prescription in the office is a novelty for the profession showing the real importance of the pharmacist for the entire population, now the pharmacist not only talk about drugs is a professional who helps in the issue of treatment.
