Abstract

Pharmacists have ownership and autonomy in several other areas, including the delivery of parenterals. Law No. 5991 of 1973 allowed the dispensing of injectable drugs in Brazilian pharmacies. When using injectables or vaccines, pharmacists need to be aware of the minimum recommended overdose of injected drug volume. It was found that pharmaceutical assistance was under development, however, there were few studies that showed that vaccination services were provided by pharmacists in the country. The offer of high vaccination coverage and the inclusion of new health establishments, such as pharmacies or pharmacies, made possible the globalization of vaccination, including the introduction of new vaccines in the poorest countries of the world. A pharmacist and his team play an important role in providing high-quality medication assistance or care. Pharmaceutical professionals play an important role in immunization services along with other professionals. In Brazil, where the professional exercises the legal right and technical competence to perform this service, pharmacists administer immunizations in drugstores or pharmacies, contributing to increase vaccination coverage in the country, in addition to consolidating clinical practice.
