This article proposes to outline a brief historical retrospective of children's education. Therefore, it was necessary to identify the forms of education of the same throughout history through the analysis of articles and books, characterizing the research as bibliographical. We understand that the child's education is part of a social construction of childhood and therefore changes from time to time. These multiplicities of stories depart from a childhood without value to a childhood with rights, there is a conception of the child as an agent of change, as an autonomous being and subject of his/her educational process.
