Abstract

This literature review aims to explore the best practices and tools to ensure effective maintenance of systems, equipment, and machines. Topics such as different types of maintenance, the importance of maintenance, new technologies in maintenance, maintenance management, and failure analysis were addressed. The methodology employed was a systematic review of the literature, with the search and analysis of scientific articles and other relevant sources on the subject. The main results indicate the importance of using preventive and predictive maintenance techniques, as well as data analysis and efficient maintenance management to ensure availability and safety of industrial assets. The training and development of maintenance professionals are also crucial to ensuring the quality and effectiveness of maintenance activities. It is concluded that the use of available tools and technologies, combined with efficient maintenance management and professional training, can ensure effective maintenance of systems, equipment, and machines, contributing to the efficiency and safety of assets in various industrial sectors.
