Abstract

During the pigs' permanence segment in the farrowing pen, the best mortality charges have been registered, in view that these animals are no longer organized to be challenged by means of this new environment. Mortality is induced by using infectious ailments such as neonatal diarrhea, omphalitis and omphalophlebitis; and non-infectious such as crushing and hypothermia. Demonstration of some types of prevention and manipulate to keep away from or decrease the prevalence of illnesses that have an effect on piglets from start to weaning, inclusive of fitness care, medicinal drug administration and use of synthetic warmness sources. Thus, the goal of this work was once to current the foremost reasons of usual mortality in pig farms, now not thinking about the etiopathogenesis or its infectiousness. For this, a literature evaluation used to be carried out in the databases of Google Scholar, Periodicals Capes via the expressions: pigs, reasons of mortality, maternity, farms. In view of the records got from the literature assessment carried out on the subject, the significance of coping with in the first hours used to be evident, in which there is the consumption of colostrum that helps in the immunity process, as nicely as in the upkeep of improvement at some stage in the different phases of growth.
