MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM IN THE DECISION-MAKING PROCESS: A BIBLIOMETRIC STUDY

The management information system as decision-making are important and widely discussed topics today, with new technologies these systems enable greater quality in management, as well as globalization that brings a range of information for assertive decision-making. Given this scenario, the objective of the study was to analyze scientific productivity through articles on the topic of management information system in the decision-making process, between the years 2017 to 2021, through a bibliometric study. For that, 18 articles published in the Google Scholar database were used, the research used the combination of keywords: management information system and decision making. The method used in the bibliometric study was ProKnow-C, in which it was possible to select the portfolios of articles on the researched theme and perform the bibliometric analysis of the selected data. In view of the study carried out, it was observed that the results obtained enabled the identification of the most cited authors, the journals that were published, in addition to presenting the evolution of the research over the analyzed time, where it was verified that this theme presents a timid growth, revealing that it is necessary to carry out more research in this context.
