The tool inventory management of an engineering and maintenance company is studied. The objective of this work is to describe a case of an engineering and maintenance company that needs solutions for better management of existing tool stocks and how this company's assets need to be cataloged in all inputs and outputs. This is a case study of researchers in an engineering, equipment and services company focused on environmental solutions in the control of atmospheric pollution, water cooling and solid waste processing, its biggest customers are large steel companies. The results showed that it was necessary to organize the inputs and outputs from the creation of 2 spreadsheets, one that identified the material and recorded its entire journey from the entry into the truck and its devolution in the company and a spreadsheet with the same structure to personal protective equipment. It was concluded that inventory management in service providers is challenging, requiring careful and detailed management.
