A TEMPORAL ANALYSYS OF LANDTRANSPORT ACCIDENTS IN BRAZIL, FROM 2010 TO 2018

Traffic accidents are a serious public health problem in Brazil and have a high magnitude in the world. Objective: to evaluate hospitalizations and deaths by occurrences in Brazil, from the mortality trend, number of deaths, number of hospitalizations and expenses for accidents. Methodology: Descriptive Study of mortality trends due to Land Traffic Accident (ATT), occupied by motorcycle and vehicle, between 2010 and 2018. The data was obtained from DATASUS Information System, on mortality and hospital and public admissions. The searches were made in the main academic and scientific databases (Scielo, PubMed), analyzing the study complementation project. Results: The accidents are responsible for a large number of deaths, disabilities, physical and psychological sequelae, pain and disability in survivors, absenteeism at work and at school. A special focus has been set on highlighting the growing role of protagonist of motorcycles for Land Traffic Accident (ATT) in the years studied. What justifies the study.
