Abstract

This article aims to present a descriptive account of actions developed in an extracurricular internship in psychology, with the target audience of adolescents authors of infractional acts. The internship field had as its work scenario the Seção de Assistência Psicossocial Infracional, linked to the Vara da Infância e da Juventude of the city of Campina Grande/Paraíba. In its professional performance, it is fundamental that the psychologist, starting from the interventions that are required in the judicial context, develop actions that allow the access of adolescents to basic rights and integral protection, as established by the current legislation on socio-educational work. This experience made it possible to visualize new meanings about doing psychology, having as a reference a professional activity committed to the transformation of the social reality of the adolescents attended, with attention to the demands presented individually, through a particular and contextualized look of each story, in order to opportunize a place of protagonism and autonomy.
