Abstract

Home automation seeks to apply existing technologies to present more efficient means of facilitating tasks that were previously performed strictly manually. This article presents concepts for home automation using Arduino, wireless interaction and Android itself, to simulate a way to leave an automated house, without its owner having to make efforts for some activities, and everything can be controlled by your own mobile device, such as your smartphone, all at the touch of your hand. Showing that Arduino technology can be used in homes in order to reduce costs caused by electricity costs, this technology that is cheap and that can meet the demands and mainly be part of the homes of people with mobility difficulties or who want greater convenience, safety comfort. The Arduino next to the ethernet module makes the communication between hardware and application, performing the requested commands and reading information from the sensors, all through the smartphone.
