Odontomas are benign odontogenic tumors that commonly affect the oral cavity. Complex odontomas are made up of amorphous tissue and their structure does not resemble tooth structure. Clinically, odontomas are generally asymptomatic, requiring diagnosis through radiographic, tomographic, and histopathological examinations. This article aims to report a clinical case to describe the surgical management of complex odontoma. An 8-year-old male patient came to the Emergency Room of Santa Casa of Araçatuba with a main problem of volumetric increase in the left chin region. The proposed treatment was the surgical management of the complex odontoma to explore and perform the curettage of the lesion in the mandible. Therefore, it is essential to consider the general health status of the patient prior to the surgical management and an adequate hospital environment with the necessary resources to perform the surgical procedure, which justifies the importance of the oral and maxillofacial surgeon in the hospital multidisciplinary team.
