The psychoanalysis developed by Sigmund Freud and the spiritism (or spiritist doctrine) codified by Allan Kardec have much more in common than one might, preliminarily, imagine. One of these interface zones, certainly the most challenging, since it travels along lines that limit the positive from the transcendental, or the objective from the subjective, is the mental or psychic structure of the human being. Establishing a proposal for integration between these two areas of human knowledge, in particular with regard to the psychic model, and, to a certain extent, removing the label of pseudosciences that involve both disciplines, are the proposals of this article that we present to the academic community.
