It is a fact that one of the biggest challenges of Public Security today is the fight against Pedophilia and the consequences of this evil that insists on being constant news and present in the communication mechanisms of the press in the country. There are a variety of factors that combine to make these criminal practices still happen. And it is in this sense that institutional security bodies, such as the Military Police, are called upon to expand situational assessments and implement strategies that can configure affirmative combats. This article seeks, with the contribution of bibliographical references, to weave a reflection on this role of the police in these complex situations. Not only from the point of view of solving crime, but also from the aspect of humanization and awareness, which refers to the social representation of the police officer in the scenario where he is inserted.
