Abstract

The periorbital region is one of the first areas to show signs of aging. PDO threads are reaching more and more space for their functionality and makeup power, increasing the appearance of the skin. The application of polydioxanone support threads is a rejuvenating treatment that repositions the support threads, increasing the lifting effect and collagen production. The present work aims to discuss the use and benefits of the application of PDO threads in periorbital sagging. Scientific articles were obtained from online platforms, Google Scholar, Scielo (Scientific Electronic Library Online), PubMed, Revista FACE, Revista SBCD and books. In conclusion, polydioxanone threads are an effective option for the treatment of periorbital sagging, increasing the sagging and texture of the region.
