With the best performance in the health system, better living conditions and life expectancy, women have been experiencing for more and more years the period known as post-menopause (a period marked by follicular depletion and important biochemical and hormonal changes). Aging and post-menopause are associated with several factors (which range from biochemical and hormonal changes to direct aggression to the dermis) that will influence the skin, generating dermal dryness, decreased collagen, atrophy, poor healing and wrinkles. This article aims to analyze and cite the main changes in the dermis after menopause and their causes.
