Male newborn foals have a greater predisposition to develop uroperitoneum, due to their anatomical development. This pathology normally occurs during childbirth due to the compression that the urinary bladder undergoes and ends up bursting. Considered as a case of clinical emergency, the uroperitoneum, when diagnosed early, tends to present a good prognosis, with the use of clinical and surgical treatments. This work reports the clinical finding of an animal of the equine species, which presented the following clinical signs: fever, prostration, tachypnea, tachycardia, presenting a slight ataxia of the hind limbs, urination in small drops, sweating accompanied by dehydration, and swelling and deformity. in phase.
